Philipines Flood Relief UpdateA consignment of 108 Aquaboxes (96 Aquabox Gold and 12 Aquabox 30) left Australia today for the Philippines arriving in Manila tonight. The Aquaboxes, originally due to leave Australia last Friday, were delayed to ensure that all the necessary arrangements were in place with Customs and freight areas in Manila. They have been consigned through Red Cross (Philippines), assisted by Rotary Past District Governor Ursula "Chit" Lijauco (Rotary International District 3820) and other Rotarians, who are doing wonderful work with disaster relief in the country. The Aquaboxes are needed in the northern area of the country where PDG Chit tells us water supplies have been devestated by recent monsoonal flooding, leaving only contaminated water in many places for thousands of people.
